📍Natural Scenic Views of Gros Islet
Traveling to Saint Lucia was not necessarily in my plans, but God brought this opportunity my way during one of the most trying times of my life. During this time, I had experienced setback after setback, and was kind of in a fog of confusion and sorrow. This traveling opportunity with a Christian organization came at just the right time to remind me that God’s grace is sufficient.

📍Resort-Style Vacation Home in Cap Estate
Now I must say, this resort-style vacation home in Cap Estate has to be one of the prettiest homes I’ve ever stayed in. This was a female group trip, and from the bedroom balcony overlooking the pool, to the beautiful views of the mountain tops from our windows, this place was just magical.

📍Castries Waterfalls
I’ve visited Niagra Falls in Toronto, CA to see waterfalls before, but this waterfall in Castries was so beautiful mainly because we were able to swim in the waters beneath it. We had the opportunity to travel to this side of the island, meet some locals, and enjoy more views.

📍Holy Family Children’s Center Orphanage
I really enjoyed this part of the trip because it allowed our group to make special connections with children. At the Holy Family Children’s Center, we got some time to read the children books, play some games, and join in on prayer.

📍Local Bars & Restaurants like Spice of India and Thirsty Parrots
As a vegan, what I love the most about traveling abroad is the opportunity to taste local food (which is usually organic). A few places we checked out while on the island were Spice of India and Thirsty Parrots Bar & Grill. I love me some island food!

📍Pigeon Island National Park
I really tried my best to enjoy this trip. As I stated at the beginning of this blog post, I was having a tough year, and this trip gave me evidence that God was still there. This trip gave me hope again.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11

Thank you for reading!
I hope this travel diary gave you a sense of what it’s like to travel to Saint Lucia. As a result of traveling and documenting this trip on social media, I was able to receive future opportunities to travel around the world (for free).
