On today’s post, I will be sharing with you some tips on how to maintain and sustain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

These tips are some of the things I like to do to give me energy for my day, and keep my body performing in tip-top shape.

Drink More Tea


I’m an avid tea lover!

I love drinking hot tea every morning to give me the energy I need to start my day. If you are like me and coffee is not your thing, I highly suggest trying tea in the mornings instead. Herbal tea is healthier for you than coffee, and it gives you energy while giving your body the things it needs.

My favorite tea to drink is Green Tea. I get a head start on my day by drinking a cup of Green Tea every morning.

Green tea is great for energy, increasing metabolism, and promoting a healthy immune system. Green tea also helps with lowering high cholesterol and preventing diabetes and high blood pressure.

Use Essential Oils


I love using essential oils for my healing remedies.

Essential oils like lavender oil and peppermint oil help ease stress and sore muscles. Tea tree oil has healing properties and is great for acne, dandruff and even earaches.

You can use a few drops of essential oil in your bath at night, rub some on your skin to soothe aches, or even use a diffuser to experience aromatherapy in your bedroom.

Also, if you suffer from dark marks left from acne scaring, try lemon essential oil on your skin at night. After cleansing, mix lemon essential oil in with your nighttime moisturizer and the acidic properties from the oil will help remove dark spots and even out your skin tone.

  1. I would love to hear more about using essential oils to treat dandruff. My daughter’s scalp is so dry and we’ve tried just about everything on the market!


    1. I’ve used olive oil heat treatments before; you can heat a pot of olive oil and apply it to your scalp and let that sit for 15-30 min. You can try this once a month as a treatment for dandruff. What works for me is using Mane N’ Tail dandruff shampoo every 2 weeks, and using coconut oil on my scalp as well. Peppermint oil can also be used to soothe the scalp from dandruff

  2. Great tips! I also drink tea every morning and on some days multiple times a day. My day is just not right if I do not start it off with a cup of tea. I’m also on the look out for new skin products, so I’ll have to check out these Prettygoods products
