I’m super excited to showcase another awesome woman of the kingdom!
I hope everyone enjoyed last week’s post and the conversations that followed it.
This week, I want to introduce another variation of the Proverbs 31 Woman. Similar to last week’s post, I still want you to be thinking about what it means to be a Proverbs 31 Woman in today’s society. Do you think the woman of today matches what we read in Proverbs 31?
With that question, I want to introduce this week’s featured guest, Catia Holm.
Catia Holm is an awesome wife and mother, an author, a speaker, and a life coach. She has an amazing story and an even more amazing personality. Check out her incredible website CatiaHolm.com where she features other women and their inspirational stories, personal blogs, and more information on her books and merchandise.
When I first met Catia I was drawn to her amazing energy and her great spirit. Great women do exist, so I encourage you to check her out!
Okay, now let’s get into this week’s discussion:
With the original question being posed, “Do you think the woman of today matches what we read in Proverbs 31?”, I want to break down and interpret scripture for clarity on what a Proverbs 31 Woman looks like.
In Proverbs 31:19 it tells us, “She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.” What this means to me is that a Proverbs 31 Woman is someone who is crafty, clever and creative. She is someone who works with what she has and makes magic happen – she’s a creator.
Proverbs 31:21 reads, “She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet.” This scripture may mean several different things to several different people. To me it means that a Proverbs 31 Woman is a woman who is well prepared. She takes responsibility for her family’s livelihood and does her part to keep them well protected.
Proverbs 31:27 quotes, “She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” To me, this means that a Proverbs 31 Woman is a woman who stays busy and productive. She is someone who her family can depend on and trust.
Lastly, Proverbs 31:28 reads, “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'” To me, this scripture means that a Proverbs 31 Woman is well respected among her husband and her children.
Catia Holm is a woman who I feel beautifully embodies the Proverbs 31 Woman as described above. She is confident, inspirational and motivating, and her story is changing the lives of women across the world.
I want you all to continue this discussion and pass this message along to others.
The Proverbs 31 Woman of the bible is evidently amazing, and she is someone who changes lives. Stay inspirational and keep on growing!
Thank you for reading. Next Thursday, I will be featuring another awesome and amazing Proverbs 31 Woman!
