Life as an Anomaly

So with the title of this post, you may be asking yourself, “What is an anomaly?”

An anomaly is defined as something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.

So to live life as an anomaly means to live life as someone who deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.

If you view yourself as someone who stands out, someone who is not necessarily considered normal, or as someone who does the unexpected, then you my friend are an anomaly.

Here are 6 steps to help you live life as an anomaly:

1. Stop Trying to be like Everyone Else

I have news for you – you are not suppose to be like everyone else!

Yes I know that this concept is trivial in its pursuit, but trust me, you were created to stand out.

The unique ability that God gave you  is what makes you different.

By choosing to suppress your uniqueness, you are lowering your value. You diminish your spark when you succumb to the pressures of this world to be like everyone else.

2. Find God

The quest to find God is one that is often talked about all over the world.

From theologians to scholars and historians, the desire to find God has been talked about in great detail for centuries.

It is a human desire to want to know God.

I would encourage you to start your quest and embark on your journey toward finding Him.

When you find God, you find the reasons behind your great gift and your great uniqueness.

3. Get Connected

When you find God, then you can begin to activate your gifting.

Get connected in a ministry, a church group, a social club or a community organization – just do something!

Whatever you feel convicted to do, do it. Whether that is helping the poor, mentoring to young children or young adults, or helping those who suffer from injustices, get involved.

Do not let your unique talents and gifts, that which make you different, go unused and untapped into.

4. Be Prepared

When you embark on your journey and begin to activate your gifting,  you will experience opposition.

Do not let this discourage you.

The fact that there is opposition as a result of you activating what God gave you is assurance that you are moving in the right direction.

There will always be forces against that which is good.

For every good work you wish to do, there will often be an evil thought looking to deter you.

Don’t fall for the trap!

Keep pushing and pressing forward – you are a world changer. Know and understand that there are greater forces working for you than there are working against you.

5. Keep Moving

The road towards change is hard. This is why so few people actually accomplish their mission.

Most people give up during the fight and forfeit their rights.

In order to do destiny, you’re going to have to learn to stay focused and keep moving.

What you are trying to achieve has never been done before  because no one has been brave enough or tough enough to do it yet.

Living life as an anomaly means fighting for what you believe in, despite the odds.

You have to keep moving.

6. Reign

Lastly, when you have found God, activated your uniqueness, prepared yourself for the journey, and endured until the very end – you will reign.

When we accomplish that which was set before us, God gives us the opportunity to reign.

“What does that mean?”, you ask.

To reign means to take rule over something as a king or queen.

There is legacy in our obedience to God’s will. Understand that the moves you make and the actions you take toward living life as an anomaly will not only affect you, but they will affect those coming after you – the next generation.

What you create in this world is going to change this world. What I am saying here is that what you do makes a difference!

If you think living life as an anomaly is too hard, that it’s easier to sit on the sidelines of normalcy and settle for less –  then destiny is not for you.

Destiny is for the brave and the pure in heart, so live life with integrity.
